My name is Barbara Rose Manning and I welcome you to My Fine Art Gallery.  

I have been painting off and on for over 20 years.  My artistic journey began in Massachusetts where I lived and began my studies under the nationally acclaimed artist, Robert Farris for 10 years.   Living along the Massachusetts coastline, water became my favorite theme.  Later, as I traveled through Europe, I fell in love with the beauty and colors of the streets and villas in Italy.  When I moved back to Texas 8 years ago,  the colors and textures of the Guadalupe became the perfect muse for my new creations.

My painting style started as traditional realism; however, over the years I have adjusted my style to be more impressionistic. I use complimentary and analogous color theory to make the work crisp and fresh.  Light and shadow make the pieces interesting, and I leave bits of the information from the painting to the imagination of the viewer; it allows them to be part of the creative process. 

My fine art are not just a gallery of paintings, but they are a window into my creative world. Whether you seek a striking centerpiece for your home or a contemplative piece that resonates on a personal level, my art provides both beauty and realism.
